Brooke McGowan

Brooke McGowan joined Wakefields Lawyers in 2023. Born and raised in Ōtautahi/Christchurch, she studied at the University of Canterbury, completing her LLB in 2020 alongside a BA with double majors in Political Science and International Relations, and Media and Communications. She went on to complete a Master of Laws in International Law and Politics in 2022. Brooke practises across a broad range of legal areas, including family law, property law, trusts and succession, elder law, and estates. She enjoys the variety of her work and is dedicated to supporting her clients with compassionate, down-to-earth advice. Whether assisting a first-home buyer, guiding someone through the Family Court system, or helping negotiate a separation agreement, Brooke is committed to making each step of the process clear and manageable. Outside of work, Brooke enjoys walking with her dog, Alfie, exploring the North Island, and scouring op shops for vintage and retro finds.
